Please join us for the first Tricky Tray meeting of 2018, Monday night, February 5th, at 7:00pm in the library.
The committee is in need of volunteers to address letters, solicit and pick up donations, wrap baskets, set up, decorate, work backstage, staff side games, and sell tickets the night of the Tricky Tray. What can you do? Please attend Monday’s meeting and pledge to help out with the biggest fundraiser of the year!
Mark your calendar for Friday May 4th, the night of the Cinco de Mayo themed event!
We are in need of a new chairperson to lead next year’s committee, so now is a great time to get involved and see how it all works. There are typically a dozen or more people who volunteer on the Tricky Tray committee and more are always needed as families graduate and move on to the high school. Wondering why the Tricky Tray is so important for our PTA? Last year $12,000 was raised to enhance your child’s experience at Pohatcong School. Here are a few things that could be cut or severely underfunded if the Tricky Tray doesn’t find a new chairperson for the 2018-2019 school year:
Field Day t-shirts and refreshments
Ice Cream Social
Scholarships for Pohat grads
Battle of the Books t-shirts
Transportation for 8th grade trip
Grants for classroom supplies, athletic equipment, and technology
The Pohatcong PTA is grateful for all the families who donate items to the Tricky Tray. Anything you can offer will be appreciated. In addition to monetary donations and gift cards, there are many ways to help. Here are some suggestions: Pet items, Appliances, Electronics, Sports Gear, Toys, Books, DVDs, Tools, Housewares, Office/School Supplies, Beauty, Bedding, Bath, Non-Perishable Food & Beverages. Just drop off items at the main office and we will be happy to arrange and wrap up your donation for the big night! Items can also dropped off at the gym lobby entrance in the evenings leading up to the Tricky Tray. Contact Janna at jborelli1202@gmail to arrange a time.
Family Donation Drop Off Form (Make sure to attach this to your donation in order to receive recognition in the evening’s program. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!)
In addition to family donations, the Tricky Tray Committee gladly accepts gift certificates from local businesses. Please consider asking your dentist, hair stylist, auto mechanic, manicurist, landscaper, accountant, etc. to donate to Tricky Tray. Businesses can receive a tax deduction and are also advertised in the event program. If you or a friend has a home-based business such as Tastefully Simple or Thirty-One, we would love to include your products too!

All donations will be accepted until March 31st. Again, thank you to the parents and community members for making the Tricky Tray our largest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds benefit the children of Pohatcong School and go toward fun and educational programs that enhance the school experience.
